Research Activities
Statistical theory and its application in medical health data
I am interested in the statistical theory and its application for medical health data. Among the medical health data, I am mainly doing the researches based on survival data which includes time to event such as death, recurrence, pregnancy, and so on.
We estimate parameters that identify the survival distribution and evaluate the association between survival time and factors (e.g. age, sex, drugs).
Figure: Survival functions based on different parameter estimates
I would like to challenge doing researches on reliability engineering to evaluate the time to failure of machines and the frequency of defective products. I would also like to challenge doing researches on the cost-effectiveness analysis.
Summarizing results from studies using meta-analysis
I am doing research on the methodologies of meta-analysis for combining the results from several studies.
I am also interested in meta-regression analysis for evaluating the association between covariates (e.g. age, sex, dose of drug, expression level of a protein, and so on) and results from studies.
