In recent years, attention has been drawn to data-driven decision-making and the AI integration of products and services across all industries and sectors. We believe that in order to produce talent that truly brings concrete value to the real world, it is necessary to have an educational and research approach that combines “Information Science (IS)”—which shapes ideas into reality using ICT technologies—with “Data Science (DS),” which generates new ideas from data. This led to the establishment of the Faculty of Information and Data Science in 2020.

Our university, with its practical concept, is rare in the country. We actively incorporate practical educational and research programs in collaboration not only through basic and specialized courses but also with companies and local governments. Many of our faculty members come from private companies and research institutions, providing a rich array of backgrounds to robustly support students’ university lives.
