Q1Why did you choose the School of Information and Data Sciences?
AI was interested in both data science and information technology—two fields expected to play a central role in the future. I was undecided about which to pick until I heard about this Faculty, which allows you to study both—so I chose it.
Q2What do you regard as the attractive features of the School of Information and Data Sciences?
AAlthough I was interested in both fields, I felt I couldn’t fully assess whether they suited me until I started studying them. In the first year at this Faculty, you can study broadly across data science and IT, so it makes it easy to find what truly interests you. Thanks to Project-Based Learning (PBL), I was also able to think concretely about how what I study is applied in real-world settings. Based on that experience, I selected the Data Science Course in my second year.
Q3How do you envision your future? Do you have a message for prospective students?
AI aspire to become a data scientist and contribute to society. In order to achieve that, possessing IT-related skills such as programming is advantageous, so I am studying in a balanced way, in my own style. For those who are interested in these fields but still unsure of which path to take, I recommend this Faculty.

Q1Why did you choose the School of Information and Data Sciences?
AWhen I was in high school, I felt drawn to the idea of a society empowered by IT, and I wanted to be involved. Since the Faculty is located in this region, I decided to apply as well.
Q2What do you regard as the attractive features of the School of Information and Data Sciences?
AI believe the curriculum is distinctive. It goes far beyond the image of ‘just programming’ or ‘computers’—you also deepen your knowledge via courses that explore how data is used in healthcare or tourism, gain insights into design and content production, and engage in research activities in cooperation with industry.
Q3How do you envision your future? Do you have a message for prospective students?
AAlthough I’m still exploring my post-graduation path, I envision creating services that many people in society use—services that enrich lives. While studying here, I will continue refining the future version of myself through classes and various experiences.
