Research Activities
Micro Human Activity/Context Recognition Technologies and the Applications
We are focusing on human activity/context recognition using various information that can be obtained from a smartphone and its surrounding environment. The understanding is a key factor to develop advanced services that are optimal for each person. Also, we are focusing on the system design issues to realize such services.

Solving social issues based on macro human activity/state estimation technology
By capturing demographics in a wide area, and combining them with various data, it enables to predict people’s activities or state in the future, such as future demographics, traffic demands, and so on. Based on such technologies, we propose new services that contribute to the revitalization of the local society and economy.
