Research Activities

Estimating tourist trends based on tourism bigdata

Research Topics of Interest:

1. Prediction model for sales of accommodation plans / occupancy rate estimation based on Web reservation data.
2. Prediction of Tourisim and Visitors Distribution based on Wi-Fi access log.
3. Construction of a social infrastructure that facilitates the use of tourism big data

Since we don’t know if the data published on the Web is reliable, we will establish a method for assessing reliability and build a predictive model based on that data.(occupancy rate of accommodation facilities and plans sell-out) . In addition, using the Wi-Fi access log and user attribution, quantitatively evaluate what kind of user is attracted to what factor, and base data for conducting customer forecasting and economic effect evaluation create.

Infrastructure of Collecting and integrating data related to tourism and use it to attract visitors and predict the effects of tourism.
